Monetary Donations
Participants volunteer their time and finance their own trips. Shoulder to Shoulder (the U.S. charitable partner) and Hombro a Hombro (the Honduran partner) have boards that are entirely volunteer positions. Any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated and used wisely.

Volunteer
The lifeblood of Shoulder to Shoulder is in its volunteers. We have great need for all types of volunteers with varied skills and talents.
Two-week Brigades: Volunteer for a group trip with fellow health professionals, dentists and teachers. Provide care to the poorest and contribute to the long term effort to improve the community. Spanish is not required. Generally participation in "brigades" are dictated by the affiliate or academic group running the particular brigade. Long-term Rotations, (1 month or more): Shoulder to Shoulder welcomes volunteers of all sorts for longer periods of volunteering. Health care providers, dentists, teachers, administration and business skills in particular are needed. Spanish proficiency is required. Read more ...
Medical Rotations: We offer extensive opportunities for medical students and residents in international medicine during either the brigades or long-term rotations.
Career Opportunities: Doctors and health providers can work for two years in Honduras with Shoulder. Read more ...

In order to make space in the clinic for a maternity wing, Shoulder to Shoulder is building a new library, and we need your help to do this.
We need more books in Spanish. The library currently has 200+ books with a wish list for books posted on Amazon.
